Layyasaaram Institute of Indian Arts presents a dedication to the Veena playing composer - Muthuswami Dikshithar celebrating his birthday
This event will be presented in 3 parts -
Part 1 - Dedication by Twin Cities and visiting artists - Individual and group presentations ~ 90 minutes
Part 2 - Muthuswami Marathon a concept to present select pieces of Dikshithar
Part 3 - Marquee veena concert by Arthi Nadhan - disciple of Kalpakam Swaminathan and Chitravina N Ravikiran, accompanied by Athrey Nadhan - disciple of Srimushnam Raja Rao on the mridangam.
Schedule:
12:00pm - Assemble, lamp lighting
12:15pm - individual and group performances
01:45pm - Muthuswami Marathon
03:15pm - Veena concert by Arthi Nadhan
We are expecting a number of guest performers from out of state as well for this unique event.
Venue: Nath Auditorium, Hindu Society of Minnesota
