October 2012 Outreach event - Madison WI

Yesterday, October 20th 2012, we had a chance to collaborate with the Kalaanjali School of Dance for a Navaratri House concert in Madison WI.

Accompanied by: Shri VVS Murari on the violin, Shri Tanjore K Murugaboopathi on the mridangam and Sriram Natarajan on the Kanjira.

Layyasaaram Institute of Indian Arts is a 501 C(3) public charity.

Through our simple motto of Perform, Educate and Collaborate, we endeavor to promote initiatives to spread awareness and knowledge about Indian culture, music and arts across the continental United States.

Perform:

We conduct, organize and provide music and dance performances of local and visiting artists and musicians. We organize events to spread awareness about the arts and culture of India.

Educate:

We facilitate and conduct training and outreach programs, lectures, demonstrations and workshops related to Indian culture and tradition in relation to classical music and dance. We publish original material to spread awareness of Indian music and arts, and collaborate with regional, national and international organizations.

Collaborate:

We invite recognized artists from India and conduct concert tours and cultural exchange programs.
